The Product delivers outstanding performance with two models that provide impressive lug rates and efficient material handling control. Not only is this the fastest sorter in the Market Place today, it accomplishes these extreme lug rates with ease. PHS136 PivotSORTER A Stud Lumber Sorter designed to deliver up to 300 boards per minute through the sorting system. PHS1812 PivotSORTER A Random width Lumber Sorter designed to deliver up to 200 boards per minute through the sorting system. The features that make this product unique: Outstanding lug rates at moderate chain speeds Process 1”, to 4” thick material at the same production rates Process 4” to 12” wide material at the same production rates 13” or 18” Pivot Hook spacing in the sorter Single or dual drop zones in the vertical sort bin Standard off the shelf cylinders, valves and plumbing Agile drop into the vertical sort bin No collateral damage to the lumber during the sorting process TMI Forest Products installed a SEC Pivot Sorter at their Morton Operation. Careful consideration was taken by the TMI Forest Products team when selecting the sorting equipment for their project. Every effort was made to limit and/or eliminate any damage to the Western Red Cedar product, without sacrificing processing speed through the sorting system. The Pivot Sorter accomplished the speed requirement with ease and there is no damage to the nominal 1” Western Red Cedar as a result of sorting through the SEC Pivot Sorter System. Moving beyond our comfort zone, challenging how things are done and seeking new techniques to improve current lumber handling methods is our standard. The Pivot Sorter is one more example of this unique approach to equipment design and manufacturing. New Product SEC creators of the PosiLOCK Positioning System, continue to expand its leading Lumber Handling Equipment line, with the addition of the RotaryLOAD Sawmill Lug Feeder. The new design offers dramatic improvement to conventional feeding systems. Higher lug fill percentages on rough sawn, irregular, waned, wet, heavy boards. This offering addresses two important areas of lug feeding. Handling green wet lumber with various geometric characteristics. As well as high lug fill rates and fill precentage. The RotaryLOAD will change the face of sawmill lug loading. 3rd Dimension In the search for a more reliable and accurate design software, SEC invests in SolidWorks 3D Mechanical Design Software. Designing in 3D allows SEC to develop, improve and evaluate designs before moving onto the manufacturing process. Concepts are modeled and simulated in the 3D environment. Scale models are produced using conventional fabrication techniques. The next step is a full scale production machine, assembled pre-wired and operated simulating a production environment. Our premises provide additional fabrication and office space. The larger facility allows for machine assembly and in house testing of SEC lumber handling equipment.
